WIN AND PLACE
A Win price pays if your runner finishes first. A Place price pays if your runner finishes in a placing (usually the first three).
SCRATCHINGS
If a runner is scratched before the race, wagers on that runner are refunded and any multi is recalculated without that leg.
DEAD HEATS
In a dead heat the stake is divided by the number of runners involved and settled at the full price on the divided stake.
